Dr Lei Fang is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Mathematical Sciences at Queen Mary University of London, where she serves as Programme Director for the MSc Risk Analytics and Deputy Head of the Centre for Mathematical Education. Her expertise spans actuarial science, risk analytics, and applied machine learning. Dr Fang is the founding Chair of the GenAI Working Party at IFoA, where she leads efforts on integrating GenAI into actuarial education and professional practice. Her research explores digital transformation, AI in education, and the mathematical foundation of AI.

Betty is a qualified actuary with deep expertise in insurance pricing, data science, and extensive experience in insurance software development gained through roles at multiple leading industry vendors, including WTW (Radar Suites), Aon (Aon Pricing Platform), and Akur8. She's always passionate about leveraging the cutting-edge GenAI knowledge and techniques into the day-to-day work and has delivered multiple presentations and workshops in this avenue. Betty is currently on a career break and exploring possibilities for the next exciting venture.

Daniel Ramsay is an Associate Director in WTW’s Insurance Consulting and Technology division, where he works in research and development. His work primarily focuses on introducing GenAI features to WTW’s actuarial software suite. Daniel is a founder and co-chair of the IFoA’s GenAI Working Party and has presented on topics of GenAI and AI agents at the IFoA Life conferences in 2023 and 2024. Daniel is also a member of the International Actuarial Association AI Taskforce.

Ben Dennesen is an experienced actuary, architecting and delivering large-scale technical solutions with modern technology. He deeply understands insurance finance change, regulatory reporting, capital management, and the operational intricacies of actuarial functions. For the past couple years, he has focused on Artificial Intelligence, applying his software engineering and statistical knowledge to effectively use AI models in the insurance sector.

Within this working party, Ben contributes his thought leadership on AI's impact on actuarial science, leveraging his experience implementing AI in actuarial processes. He is passionate about using AI to enhance the efficiency of actuarial work.

Ben is Deloitte’s GenAI lead across actuarial. He is focused on the practical implementations of GenAI, and the risks that this can pose. Ben recently led the working party discussion with the profession to develop training material around how to deploy Agents safely.
